Michele Assarasakorn

Michèle made the big move from Thailand to Canada to study concept design for film, animation, and video games when she was 18. After working as a junior concept artist in those industries, she found her true passion in coloring comics, which she did for over a decade. Then, she shifted gears once more, this time focusing on drawing graphic novels for kids. Throughout her career, Michèle has been lucky enough to color books for top publishers like DC, Marvel, Image Comics, Dark Horse, IDW, Skybound, and Glénat, before making the exciting transition to creating graphic novels for kids with Penguin Putnam. She now works with fellow Vancouverite on their middle grade comic series PAWS.
