Join us as the winners of the fourth annual Muriel’s Journey Poetry Prize are announced and the winning authors read their poems.

About The Moderators

Kyle Hawke is a poet, voice artist, and editor. Through his various interactions with words, he knows how they can change the world and wants to give them the platform to do so. whispers of humanity, Kyle’s first collection of poetry in book form, juxtaposed with the art of Wade Edwards, was launched at the start of the pandemic. He claims no causal relationship. He lives in Vancouver, BC.

Isabella Mori is the author of two books of and about poetry, including A bagful of haiku – 87 imperfections. Poetry and short fiction have appeared in publications such as Presence, Kingfisher, and The Group Of Seven Reimagined. Isabella is the founder of Muriel’s Journey Poetry Prize which celebrates edgy, socially engaged poetry. In April, they were a writer-in-residence at Hay Lake Lodge in the secluded area of Ontario’s Algonquin Park. Since 2013, Isabella has been writing for and co-editing Family Connections, a newsletter for people touched by mental health and addiction. Born in Germany and having lived in the UK, Paraguay, and Chile, Isabella resides in Vancouver, and works in mental health and addiction.
